A distinguished Polish economist and banker, he served as President of the Polish Bank Association for many years (2003–2023) and played a key role in building the infrastructure of the Polish banking sector. A graduate of the University of Wrocław and the Warsaw School of Economics, he co-founded the National Clearing House, the Credit Information Bureau (BIK), and holds an honorary doctorate from the Warsaw School of Economics. Since 2023, he has served as an advisor to the Management Board of the Polish Bank Association.
